Homeschool Programs FAQs

What grades are your Homeschool Programs meant for?

TSWM Homeschool Programs are for grades 3rd-12th (Ages 8-17).  Children who are below the age requirement may attend, but will be unable to participate in ANY program activities. Our programs are not appropriate for children ages 7 & younger. Please explore our Super Soarin’ Saturdays and  Tiny Soarers program for young learners.

 

What time can we get there?

Doors open 15 minutes before program start time. Doors are closed and locked 15 minutes after program start for safety purposes. Late arrivals will not be accepted after the door is closed.

 

What are your check-in procedures?

Homeschool Programs are carefully scheduled, arriving on time makes it easier for you and your family group. Upon arrival your family group will be checked in at the registration desk.  Your students will be given name tags and wristbands at this time. Please note all attendees must be prepaid and pre-registered.

How do I register for Homeschool Programs?

 Registration is found on our website. Please choose your topic, complete the form with included payment and you’re all set!

 

Can I register for all the sessions now?

Once registration opens in April, you may sign up and pay for all the sessions at once if you wish to ensure space for yourself and your student(s).

 

Will my family group remain together?

All family groups will stay together regardless of age, unless otherwise requested.

 

Where can I find my reservation information?

Your registration will be confirmed the day of, via email. This email will contain the date, time and location, as well as topic.

Can I drop my child off? Do I have to stay?

Family groups must be attended by at least one adult.

Can I touch or climb in/on the airplanes?

During programs some planes are able to be climbed into. Otherwise please refrain from climbing, or touching our planes. Our aircraft are flight worthy, please help us keep ’em flying.

What happens in inclement weather?

Homeschool Programs will follow the West Clermont school closings. In case of inclement weather conditions please check your email for a determination 90 minutes prior to your scheduled arrival. 

Should I bring a sweater?

As our Museum is a working hangar, please dress for the weather. Sweater, or jacket is recommended in winter.

Where do we store coats?

There is a coat rack available in the lobby.

Can we bring our lunch?

No, there is no onsite eating, or table space available. Here are some recommended local parks for lunch:

If I can't attend, can I get a refund?

We regret that we cannot grant refunds for program and event registrations. If we must cancel a program or an event due to low enrollment, you will be given the option to move your registration to another program/event or receive a full refund.  We reserve the right to cancel programs and events due to low enrollment or extreme weather. Registrants will be notified via email 24 hours prior if a program or event is cancelled.

Are there any discounts for Homeschool Programs?

Yes! Homeschool Programs are $2 off for members.
