Volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of Tri-State Warbird Museum

Our volunteers find community, share and gain knowledge and contribute directly to the Museum’s mission.

Docent: The word docent comes from the Latin word “docere” meaning to teach. The role of a docent is two-fold. 1. They serve as hosts, to provide a welcoming atmosphere and are the Museum’s “front-line” representatives. 2. They serve as interpreters of the Museum’s aircraft and artifacts. They help give the visitor a deeper appreciation and provide education by actively involving visitors in the interpretation of the Museum’s mission.
