Doolittle Raid
The Doolittle Raid exhibit showcases the daring mission that involved 16 B-25 Bombers taking off from the USS Hornet aircraft carrier. This mission entailed bombing mainland Japan and then flying onto China. This exhibit is associated with local WWII veteran, Lt. Thomas C. Griffin; navigator on the 9th B-25.
Objects & Artifacts
The Tri-State Warbird Museum collects and preserves other types of WWII and historical warbird artifacts. Some of these are on exhibit, while many more are stored, awaiting research or future display. All artifacts are carefully indexed, photographed, and exhibited or stored.
